Below you'll find news and stories about our "Birthday Bags" program. Our goal is to brighten the birthdays of local children whose families have hit hard times. With the help of the Auburn Interfaith Food Closet, we provide "Birthday Bags" to these families, helping them make their child's birthday special. A "Birthday Bag" contains a cake mix, frosting, candles, gift, and tissue paper, all placed in a colorful gift bag. When the family gets the "Birthday Bag" home, they can bake and decorate the cake, wrap the gift with the tissue paper and gift bag, sing Happy Birthday, and watch as their child makes a wish and blows out their candles.
